On June 18, the 2026 JAR Innovation and Enterprise Cooperation Forum & Biomedical Frontiers Salon (Series I) was held at the Shaoxing Life and Health Industry Community as a part of the “Innovation Beyond Boundaries” 2026 Keqiao Talent & Innovation Week. The event brought together representatives from municipal and district government departments, universities, research institutes, overseas experts and scholars, and member organizations of the Shaoxing Life and Health Industry Community Alliance to explore frontier developments in biomedical science and strengthen international collaboration.

The head of the District Organization Department attended the event and delivered opening remarks. A key milestone of the forum was the signing ceremony between Shaoxing People’s Hospital and KIP, aimed at promoting cross-border scientific cooperation and innovation.

The afternoon featured keynote speeches from distinguished experts across the globe. Professor Giancarlo Ruocco (Italian Institute of Technology) opened with animal-based cancer screening, followed by Professor Fang Zhaoxi (Shaoxing University) on breath sensors for lung cancer detection. Professor Zhang Weixiong (PolyU) discussed genomic LLM-driven circular RNA discovery for cancer biomarkers. Professor Andrei Kabashin (Aix-Marseille University) covered nano- and metamaterials for healthcare, while Professor Pier Paolo Pompa (Zhejiang University) presented on functional nanomaterials for sensing. The program also featured Dr. Wang Bin (Shaoxing People’s Hospital) on adult rib biology, Dr. Liu Xiaowei (Zhejiang University Shaoxing Institute) on advanced biomaterials, Dr. Xiao Changchun (Shaoxing Biomedical Innovation Center) on drug discovery translation, Additional talks covered AI-driven RNA design, perovskite-based glucose monitoring, retinal imaging for Alzheimer’s diagnosis, and 3D-printed biodegradable rib implants for chest wall reconstruction.
