2024 UNISA-JAR Partner Joint Membrane Symposium will be held from August 26-27. It invites early-career researchers (Ph.D. students and postdocs) working in fundamental research and membrane technology applications, along with leading experts and industry practitioners, to participate and showcase cutting-edge research and innovations from participating institutions.
Professor Edward Nxumalo is a Professor under the Institute for Nanotechnology and Water Sustainability in the College of Science, Engineering and Technology in the University of South Africa.
Professor Yunxia Hu is the Vice Director of the State Key Laboratory of Separation Membranes and Membrane Processes at Tianjin Polytechnic University. She serves as Deputy Editor for both npj Clean Water and Environmental Technology & Innovation, Founding Editor-in-Chief for Frontiers in Membrane Science and Technology, and an editorial board member of Desalination.
In 2009, Prof. Xiaohua Ma graduated from Peking University with a Ph.D. majoring in polymer chemistry and physics. From October 2009 to 2018, he worked as a postdoctoral and postdoctoral researcher at State Grid University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia. In June 2018, he was hired as a researcher at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Tianjin University of Technology. Mainly engaged in the research of organic high-performance polymer materials, including molecular design of membrane materials, preparation of polymers and membrane materials, and characterization of gas separation performance.
Dr. Liu Gang, Ph.D. supervisor, recipient of the National Excellent Young Scientists Fund, and leader of the Green Water Process Research Group, is the Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of Drinking Water Science and Technology at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He also serves as the Deputy Chair of the Youth Committee of the China Water Association.
