Dr. Munir Hussain is a High-Level Foreign Expert recognized by the Zhejiang Provincial Bureau of Foreign Experts and a researcher in materials science and textile engineering. He received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Zhejiang University and subsequently conducted postdoctoral research in the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering at Zhejiang University.

His research focuses on sustainable polymers, advanced functional fibers, polymer nanocomposites, ionic liquids, green deep eutectic solvents, rheology, and artificial intelligence-assisted materials design. His work encompasses bio-based and biodegradable materials, organic/inorganic hybrid fibers, sustainable rubber nanocomposites, green polymer processing, and micro-/nanoscale structure–property relationships. Dr. Hussain has published 48 SCI-indexed research papers, receiving more than 1,120 citations with an H-index of 22, and has presented at 15 international conferences. He has participated in NSFC-funded projects and led industry–university collaborative research projects. His research aims to integrate green chemistry, nanotechnology, advanced fiber engineering, rheology, and AI to develop sustainable and high-performance materials for advanced textiles, functional fibers, and polymer composites.
