Dr. Caterina Sanchini

Dr. Caterina Sanchini is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Bioprinting group at the Center for Life Nano and Neuro Sciences of the Italian Institute of Technology, where she focus on neurodevelopmental research using induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and 3D microfluidic bioprinting technologies. She obtained her PhD in Life Sciences in 2023, with a thesis focused on the dynamics of the microtubule cytoskeleton in activated microglia.Dr. Sanchini has published in leading journals including Cell Reports, Redox Biology, International Journal of Molecular Sciences, and STAR Protocols, and has presented her research at major conferences such as Neuroscience 2023 and the Gordon Research Conference. As head of the bioprinting research group, she leads the design and coordination of hiPSC-based neural 3D bioprinting projects.
