MISSION & VISION
Mission of GiT4NDM
The mission of the 11th Geoinformation Technologies for Natural Disaster Management (GiT4NDM 2026) is to advance the science, innovation, and real-world application of geospatial technologies for addressing complex environmental, climatic, and societal challenges. The conference is committed to promoting cutting-edge research in GeoAI, machine learning, deep learning, remote sensing, GIScience, and integrated geospatial systems to enhance disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, and sustainable environmental management. It provides a dedicated platform for exploring innovative methods such as AI cartography, visual analytics, smart and dynamic mapping, UAV-based monitoring, LiDAR and point cloud processing, and integrated sensor technologies for improved environmental understanding and decision-making.
The mission further emphasizes strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration between academia, industry, government, and civil society to transform geospatial knowledge into actionable solutions. Special focus is placed on applications including climate-induced hazard mapping, land use and land cover change analysis, cryosphere monitoring, marine and coastal dynamics, urban resilience, and infrastructure modeling using BIM and 3D visualization. By fostering public participation, data quality assurance, and advanced visualization technologies such as VR/AR, GiT4NDM 2026 aims to support evidence-based environmental governance and enhance global capacity to respond to emerging risks in a rapidly changing world.
Vision of GiT4NDM
The vision of GiT4NDM 2026 is to become a globally recognized platform that leads the transformation of geoinformation science into a central pillar for achieving a resilient, intelligent, and sustainable post-SDG future. The conference envisions a world where GeoAI-driven systems, smart mapping technologies, and real-time earth observation are fully integrated into environmental governance, disaster preparedness, and sustainable development planning, enabling societies to anticipate, mitigate, and adapt to environmental risks with precision and confidence.
GiT4NDM 2026 aspires to shape the next generation of geospatial ecosystems that are intelligent, interconnected, and participatory, empowering decision-makers and communities with accessible, high-quality geospatial intelligence. Through global partnerships and technological innovation, the conference envisions advancing sustainable solutions for climate change, natural hazards, ecosystem monitoring, and urban transformation, ultimately contributing to safer, smarter, and more resilient societies worldwide.
