Jianping Zhang is CEO and co-founder of JAR Partner. He graduated at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Master in Optical Engineering. He has acquired a research background at the Ningbo Institute of Material Technology Engineering (NIMTE) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Among his previous work experiences, he was for many years staff member in a medical device company followed by his former position as financial staff at NIMTE. He has a rich business experience both with private and public subjects, which allows him to properly deal with government and VC. He has a strong capability in understanding the needs of his interlocutors regardless their nationality, therefore he can realize the proper match between foreign companies and Chinese entities, either public or private.
Alberto Barone collaborates with the management of JAR Partner as Business Development Manager, for the creation of an Italian hub dedicated to the technology transfer to China. Graduated in Materials Engineering, Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, he has a research background at the National Research Council (CNR) and the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT). Founder of the IT company Gematica, he has worked for years, holding different positions, in hi-tech SMEs (Consorzio CLARA, ATP, Iscleanair) and institutions, including Confindustria Emilia-Romagna Ricerca, R&I agency of the Italian Industry Confederation.
REMO PROIETTI ZACCARIA
Prof. Remo Proietti Zaccaria is head of the Advanced Concept Laboratory at the Italian Institute of Technology and Professor at the Cixi Institute of Biomedical Engineering, Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His work mainly aims in model-ing and experimentally validate complex systems at the micro/nanoscale with a str-ong emphasis on the final device. In part-icular, his research themes embrace diff-erent topics (i.e. inter-disciplinary) such as photonics, heat generation and diffusion, e-lectric charge/mass diffusion and mechan-ical deformation towards the development of innovative devices for energy manipu-lation (harvesting and storage). Finally, in recent times, his research activity has been extended towards biology with the double fold mission of modeling the funda-mental processes of biological interactions towards the realization of implantable sensing devices.
